Varsha (Monsoon) 2021 Poems - Sweety Gangabissoon

In your eyes
By Sweety Gangabissoon

In just one glance, I saw,
Radiating from your eyes, power,
Potent enough as to repair my wings
To allow me to soar high up
Above the clouds adorning the blue skies
Of our ephemeral world!

In just one glance, Muse, I saw,
In your depths,
That charm that I had been searching for
In between the many folds of this life
That shall never belong to me!

Muse, I saw in there,
My anchorage, my shores,
My empty pages,
My garden, my rightful place,
And even my poetic matrimony!

It was just one glance, Muse,
But it moved me so much
That it woke up in my secret cove,
Raging tsunamis in my sleepy oceans,
And it all bid me

To want to live, even if I don't believe
In this meaningless world!
