Confessions of a priestless being
By Santuella Kimani

I can’t even pronounce the name love
my tongue has lost its lilt
because it used to be your name right?
I still say honey in my head
and I tell myself come on remember
the rules: no pet names
but they were more than that right?
they were confessions
minute by minute
baby
it’s only you I want.
honey
only you I love.
darling
only you I see.
confessions. confessions. confessions.
love. love. love.
I don't know what to do now
that my priestess is gone.
