Vasant 2026 Poems - Krutika Zambre
After Plath’s You’re
By Krutika Zambre
Rhinestoned, a monopoly metropolis
fuchsia lipstick smeared on the city’s potholes
pink with the persistence of helium
a balloon of memetic opera
hair nokia snake xenzia
time chews you sleek, ouroboros
bites on arms- a fruit phone logo
flip you open: blue light
Sahyadri’s cherubim, mischievous
glistening
butter licked clean off a steel plate
a trenchcoat of chillies and
heartburn
heartache
heart
midnight kitchen
alive with salt and narrative
silken analog clock
Halley’s comic, glamorous domestic
kneading a dough of celestial debris
lights! action! chimera!
munch on your hours
eat the seconds, tongued clean off
fanatics talk to your edible hours
