The redemption

In every man there's an idealist,
Who would slay him when awake
As rainbow refractions of experience
Ease the pain through images fake.
Life insurance, betrayals, Love, disease and funerals
Toned down with shades of lies
Holocausts sealed with self-deception.
The idealist then wields the quill
Breathes poetry that each vacuity fill
With latent human leap towards
An all redeeming transcendence.
