Vasant (Spring) 2019 Poems -Dr. Gideon Sampson Cecil
Love in Nature
By Dr.Gideon Sampson Cecil
The departing sun
        kisses her lips
as the darkening sky falls in love
        with the shimmering horizon
        stretched across the sea.
A flock of white seagulls looking like
        fallen clouds spread their
        broad wings, seeking out silver
        mullets in the water.
I search for her smile as the moon climbs
the roof of the clouds like a yellow cat
on the bark of a slender tree.
